Australian Cinnamon and Lutino
Every bird is beautiful in its own way...
Picture 2 -- Blue Australian Cinnamon Violet Baby --> This picture is of a dutch blue bird that is also Australian Cinnamon with 1 Violet factor. Notice how blue gene lightens up the yellow coloring. We also raise blue Australian Cinnamons.
Picture 3 -- Lutino Baby > Lutino is a sex-linked mutation also, and it comes only in green series birds. As this bird molts and grows up, the coloring on the face and body will deepen. The lutino gene in the blue series produces a creamino baby. It's a bird that has feather colors that are very light yellow almost white. I will post a picture of a Creamino soon, once I can find where I put the picture. We also raise Creamino babies.
**These are all sex-linked mutations. In birds, unlike humans, the mother is XY and determines the sex of the babies. In order for females to display these mutations, they will only need 1 mutant gene, whereas for females they will need 2. This means that there are more of these female sex-linked mutations than males. This also means that females cannot be split to these sex-linked mutations and males can. So if you pair a male Lutino w/ a Green Female bird not split to any sex-linked mutations, then all of your female offspring will be Lutino and all of your male offspring will be Green and split to Lutino.
