This is a beautiful baby that I've been handfeeding and will be keeping. I think she's a gorgeous bird and actually sisters to the Whitefaced Violet Opaline American Cinnamon, Serenade. Here are some pictures to show the differences between Normal Greens and American Cinnamons as it can be hard to tell the difference if you've never worked with them before. Once you know what to look for, you realize how beautiful and different and unique in color the American Cinnamon mutation truly is.
Notice the beak color, the Cinnamon flights, and the feet color
On the left you have the beak color of a normal green baby. You can see that the black color hasn't receded yet. On the right side you have the beak color of an American Cinnamon baby. They are the same age. The beak color of an American Cinnamon is much lighter, and it has not recessed yet either.
The flights of the American Cinnamon are Cinnamon colored vs the Green/Dark color of a Normal Green
On the bottom is the feet of a Normal Green. The top claw shows that of an American Cinnamon. You can see how lighter the feet of an American Cinnamon is compared to a Normal Green.
