Ino Mutation

Ino in the green series is called Lutino, and in the blue series is called Creamino. Ino can also be combined with other mutations, for example Lutino Opalines. Inos always have red eyes and little to no color on the rump.

This bird is a baby Lutino. As this bird molts and grows up, the coloring on the face and body will deepen.   The lutino gene in the blue series produces a creamino baby.  It's a bird that has feather colors that are very light yellow almost white.

The bird on the top left is a Creamino. The bird on the bottom is an Australian Cinnamon. You can see that the Creamino has a white rump with a very light blue sheen on the rump and red eyes which you may not be able to see. The Australian Cinnamon(green series) not only has a red face, but a blue rump. The bird on the top right is a Whitefaced Medium Violet.

[Metamorphosis] This is a picture of a Lutino Opaline Pied baby. Her name is Scout and was sold to a friend of mine as a pet. I was able to retain breeding rights and share future babies with her. Scout as a baby is cute but as an adult is a gorgeous bird! Since she's pied, her hood is jagged and will not have a full red hood like a Lutino Opaline. She's definately a very beautiful bird. Her coloring is a very rich golden-yellow.

Here is a picture of an Adult Orangefaced Lutino Pied. You can tell he's pied because his forehead line is not straight. He has a nice Orangeface and red eyes, and the camera shows a light blue sheen on his rump.
