This chart can be used as a visual aid to help in understanding all the sex-linked mutations. The sex-linked mutations in peachfaced are Opaline, Ino, Australian Cinnamon, and American Cinnamon. You can substitute the word Opaline for any of the other sex-linked mutations and the outcome will be the same. In regards to sex-linked mutations, only males can be split to the mutation, females either are the mutation or are not. Females cannot be split to sex-linked mutations. This is because in birds(unliked in humans), the females are XY and determine the sex of the baby not the males. So only 1 mutant gene is needed for the sex-linked mutation to be visual whereas in males(XX), 2 mutant genes are needed for the bird to be visual. This chart is good for a basic understand of 1 sex-linked mutation but does not cover multiple sex-linked mutations combined together and crossovers, such as Lacewings(Ino + American Cinnamon), Lutino Opalines, Australian Cinnamon Opalines, or American Cinnamon Opalines, etc.
