Dilute

Whiteface Dilutes also known as silvers and greywings can differ in edging dramatically. Some will refer to the picture below as a greywing and others dilute. Most people are not sure if greywing is actually an allele of dilute or just a dilute with deeper edgings. If anyone is interested in working with this mutation. I have this bird and his mate for sale. You can see them on the sales list. Green series dilutes use to also be known as American Yellows and Cherryheads. Some people also refer to Dilutes as Edged Dilutes.

The bird in front is a Whitefaced Medium Dilute Violet baby. Notice the dark edging along the feathers. The dilutes in the green series use to also be known as Cherry Heads or American Yellows.

This is a picture of the same bird but now as an adult.

Here is a closer shot of the back of the bird. You can seel the yellow edging against a violet background.

Here is a picture of an OF Green Dilute. He's a very stunning bird. He has nice size as well.
